Chris Federer and her American Quarter Horse "Angelo".

"During the past twelve months I have worked with Alex on a monthly basis with my Registered Quarter Horse, Mito's Big Contender (Angelo). Under Alex's guidance, Angelo and I have progressed through the training scale to second level. Alex has an uncanny ability to recognize the challenges of both horse and rider, provide a clear approach to progressing to the next step while continuing to improve our performance. He expects excellence and is clear on how to attain it. Each month I look forward to our "homework" and "assessment" from his instructions. We are very fortunate to find a trainer of such high standards with a sense of honesty and integrity."

Caryn Vesperman of Brooklyn, WI and her 1995 elite Hanoverian mare, "Lively", have competed successfully through 3rd Level. Their goal is to show FEI within the next year.

"Alex is adept at identifying your riding challenges very quickly. He then works with you on riding position and riding exercises, even giving you clear "homework." Besides being a great eye on the ground, when he rides your horse, you not only see a difference but feel the difference when you get back on. It's clear he respects and likes horses -- and wants you to succeed. I am definitely progressing with his help." - Caryn Vesperman, Touchstone Farm

Michaela Howard and her Trakehner/Arabian "Apropos Mon Cheri" at the 2003 Snowbird Dressage Show.

Michaela comments, "Alex makes the lesson fun, interesting and challenging. He has a good feel for the horse and never asks more than Cheri is able to do. He makes correct assessments of horse and rider, and offers solutions that work. I also enjoy the lesson in German, which makes it easier for me to understand."
