Dressage horses imported by Alex Gerding for clients in the U.S. -

Petrocelli
SOLD - Alex Gerding comments, "Petrocelli, 14 year old Hanoverian imported 2006. By Prince Thatch, dam by Cavalier - Cardinal XX. A special horse for a special rider, he is a horse representing a statement once used by Dr. Reiner Klimke describing Ahlerich: A genious crossing borderline to insanity - all in one. This horse has it all - whether it can be shown to his fullest potential? I believe it can be done. Congratulations to Andrea and Dick Feller, Silvermine Farm in Eau Claire, Wisconsin!! Trust, belief and faith is all it takes."

Chacomo
SOLD - Alex Gerding comments, "Chacomo, 11 year old Hanoverian gelding by Calido - Cor de la Bryere, dam by Werther - Wendekreis. A very special find is this confirmed Prixes St. Georges horse. His absolutely stunning looks combined with top work ethic, first class comfort and ridability, and superior trot extensions made him a very strong buy without any hesitation. Trained in Germany by a female professional, in one hand since the age of 5."

Congratulations to Tracy Williams of Bermuda! Tracy's first comment after Chaco's arrival, "He is absolutely stunning. We had him in a shady paddock with no halter and he looked like something out of a movie." Actually, dreams can come true! Imported 2007."

Salope
SOLD - Alex Gerding comments, "Salope, Hanoverian mare by Spitzweg, dam by Welsh City XX. Always willing, focused and skilled in her training, a confirmed FEI level horse that is a dream to ride! Piaffe and pirouettes are her definite highlights, as well as her attitude to give her partner all she has to offer. Placed at PSG in Germany, imported 2006. Congratulations Caryn Vesperman of Madison WI!"

update from buyer Caryn Vesperman after a Linda Zang / Stephen Clark Symposium - "It was AWESOME! Sally was so great. Linda Zang told me that she went to the Olympics on a horse the same age as Sally and that I had a great horse and had many, many years to learn from her. Stephen Clark said she was a wonderful horse too. When Linda saw how good her changes were, she said, "I know you're showing Prix St. George, but let's see the two's." We pulled 'em off! People applauded and cheered. After my ride, I took her back to the barn, and this woman comes up when I was untacking her and she told me she just had to leave the symposium to come back and tell me how much I had inspired her, how much she enjoyed my ride, and how it was obvious that I loved my horse. It was such a HIGH!"

"I don't know how I can ever thank you for finding a horse like this for me. I can honestly say, my confidence is growing every single time I ride her. And this weekend, my confidence soared. Thank you, thank you!"

Shapiro
SOLD - Alex Gerding comments, "Shapiro was among the first handpicked imports for my valuable clients. He was bred by Paul Schockemoehle and was imported at age 8. Shapiro is a very impressive mover with the talent to make his way to grand prixes, but requires an experienced rider with a lot of technique, knowledge, feel and love for the horse. I'm very proud and happy that Shapiro found this rider in Lynn Jendrowski, and they both will have successful careers."

Daiquiri
SOLD - "Daiquiri" - A son of Donnerhall with a traditional mother bloodline by Grande. Driving a Ferrari is one thing, steering a Rolls Royce is the other, or a combination of both is this once in a lifetime 10 year old Oldenburg gelding. Serious 4th level, impressive changes and superior extensions gives every amateur a very special experience. Imported November 2002.

Update Fall 2005 - The imported son of Donnerhall is pictured showing with Monica Bliss at the Lexington Horse Park in 2005. Quiet, impressive, sane, evoking memories of his unforgetable sire, scoring above 70%. As advertised: he is an amateurs dream!

Laurien
SOLD - "Laurien" - sire Loredo is by one of the best German sires ever, legendary Holsteiner Lord, his dam by Werther. A confirmed contender that has placed high and won at Prix St. Georges in Germany in 2005. Top movement, temperament and training par excellence. No doubt this one will teach you how to ride successfully! Imported 2006. Congratulations to Karenmary Penn of Bermuda!

Buyer Karenmary Penn comments, "Recently, I made the switch from riding hunters to riding dressage. Alex found me an amazing dressage schoolmaster who is helping me learn the higher-level dressage movements. Laurien is just what I was looking for - a sound, quiet, older horse, confirmed in his knowledge of the upper level movements, with the ability to understand what I am asking of him. I couldn't be happier with this horse."

Trainer Michael Rodriguez comments after his first ride on Laurien at a show, "I could have fallen off that horse and he would have finished the test without me."

His Piaffe is superior in his hind end, he schools changes to two’s, and is trained to PSG. Donatello - the everyday, pleasure. Imported November 2002.
