Doc Holiday
SOLD - "Doc Holiday", 2001 bay Holsteiner gelding, 15.3 hds (sire Donnerhall - dam by Longchamp). Looking at his bloodlines one would assume that the breeding goal was to produce a dressage horse. Nature however had something else in mind with this compact and pretty young fellow. A hunter prospect par excellence with super form over jumps, perfect movement for the hack class, easy changes, plus a junior suited size and ridability. He had a great performance under Liza Towell at his first horse show in the US. Imported 2006. Congratulations to Ronnie Tetterton, Camden SC!!

Safari
SOLD - "Safari", Grey Hanoverian mare by sire Slibovitz, her dam by Glorieux, foaled 2001 and imported in 2006. This athletic mare has the heart of a lion plus the jumping ability and power of a gazelle. Free jumped over oxers you literally can park your car underneath her, breathtaking! Serious jumper or eventing prospect. Congratulations to owner Ashley de Boer from Michigan!

Buyer Ashley de Boer comments, "I bought Safari from Alex less than a year ago, and this horse has surpassed all expectations that I held. Her intelligence, clever sense of humor, and competitive attitude have already put her in the ribbons in several Dressage and Eventing competitions. Even though she is only five years old, I have never before felt such power and scope over a fence. She is a privilege to own, and I love working to keep up with her talent and enthusiasm."

update 2008 - Ashley DeBoer, 24, of Haslett, Michigan won the 41 horse Training Amateur division aboard Safari (30.5), a six-year-old Hanoverian mare that she imported from Germany from Alex Gerding. The pair started in fourth after dressage, moved up to third after cross-country, and then won the division by finishing on their dressage score.

"Ashley bought this horse while with me on one of my shopping trips. Originally she had no intention to buy, but to learn. When I tried the mare out it took only 30 minutes for Ashley to realize the quality of this mare, and she bought her right then. Well, impulsive shopping behaviour actually does sometimes pay off !" - Alex Gerding
